This Privacy Policy explains how Simulator Arts LLC ("Simulator Arts", "we", "us" or "our") handles
information in connection with the mobile game Last Squad: Zombie Run for iOS and
Android (app ID com.lastsquad.zombierun) (the "Game"). For our websites and other products,
see our company Privacy Policy. If the two differ, this
policy applies to the Game.
The short version
- You don't need an account. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number to play.
- Your progress, settings and purchase records are stored on your device, not on our servers.
- The Game shows ads from third-party ad networks. They may collect device identifiers and ad data. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first, and you can change your mind.
- In-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card details.
- We may use crash reports and anonymous gameplay stats to fix bugs and improve the Game.
- We don't sell your personal information.
1. Information stored on your device
The Game does not require you to create an account or sign in. The following is saved locally on your phone or tablet so the Game can work:
- Game progress: levels reached, currencies, upgrades, unlocked commanders and items, missions and similar game state.
- Settings: for example sound, music and vibration preferences, and your ad consent choices.
- Purchase records: which in-app products you own, so they can be applied and restored.
This data stays on your device. We do not upload it to our own servers, and we cannot see or recover it. Your device's operating system may include it in your own device backups (such as iCloud or Google backups) according to your device settings.
2. Advertising
The Game is free to play and is supported by ads, including optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch in exchange for in-game rewards. Ads are delivered through Unity LevelPlay (an ad mediation platform from Unity Technologies) and the ad networks it works with, such as Google AdMob. These partners act on their own behalf when they collect data through the ads they serve.
What ad partners may collect
- Device advertising identifiers. On iOS, the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) is only available if you allow it in Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the IDFA is not shared. On Android, the Android Advertising ID may be used; you can reset or delete it in your device settings.
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language, screen size, app version and network type.
- IP address and coarse location derived from it (for example, country or city). The Game does not request precise GPS location.
- Ad interaction data, such as which ads were shown, whether you tapped them, and whether a rewarded ad was completed.
Why
Ad partners use this information to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and, where you have allowed it, show ads that are more relevant to you (personalized ads).
Your choices and consent
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: before personalized ads or similar processing that needs consent, the Game shows a consent dialog. You can accept, refuse, or choose by purpose. If you refuse, you may still see non-personalized ads.
- Changing your mind: you can withdraw or change your consent at any time from the Privacy Choices option in the Game's Settings menu, or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.
- iOS: you can change tracking permission at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google or Privacy > Ads settings (the exact menu depends on your device).
- Remove ads: an optional "No Ads" purchase removes the ads that play automatically (such as banner and between-level ads). Rewarded ads that you choose to watch remain available.
3. In-app purchases
The Game offers optional in-app purchases. All payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive your payment card number, bank details or billing address.
When you make or restore a purchase, the store gives the Game a purchase receipt or transaction record (for example a transaction ID, the product purchased, and the date). The Game uses this to deliver and restore what you bought and to help prevent fraud. If we add server-side receipt validation, receipts will be sent to us or our provider only for that purpose.
4. Crash reports and gameplay analytics
We may use crash reporting and analytics tools to find bugs and understand how the Game is played, so we can balance and improve it. This may include:
- crash logs and diagnostic data (for example device model, OS version, app version, and what the Game was doing when it crashed);
- gameplay events (for example levels started, completed or failed, upgrades bought, in-game currency earned and spent, and screens opened).
We use this information in an anonymous or pseudonymous form (tied to a random identifier, not to your name or contact details) and look at it mainly in aggregate. We do not use it to identify you.
5. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you choose to attach (such as screenshots, device details or a purchase receipt). We use it only to answer you and handle your request.
6. How and why we use information
- To run the Game and save your progress on your device.
- To deliver and restore in-app purchases.
- To show ads that keep the Game free, and to grant rewards for rewarded ads.
- To fix crashes, prevent cheating and fraud, and keep the Game secure.
- To understand how the Game is played and improve it.
- To respond to support requests and privacy requests.
- To comply with the law and app store requirements.
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, our legal bases are: consent (for personalized advertising and, where required, related device storage or access); performance of a contract (to provide the Game and the items you purchase); legitimate interests (to keep the Game secure, fix bugs, prevent fraud and understand usage in aggregate, balanced against your rights); and legal obligations.
8. International transfers
Simulator Arts LLC is based in the United States, and our partners operate around the world. Where information is transferred out of the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on safeguards recognized by law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or our partners' equivalent commitments.
9. How long we keep information
- On your device: until you delete the Game or clear its data.
- Support emails: for as long as needed to resolve your request, and then for a limited time for record-keeping, unless you ask us to delete them sooner where the law allows.
- Crash and analytics data: only as long as useful to fix and improve the Game, within the retention limits of the tools we use.
- Data held by ad partners and app stores: according to their own retention policies.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- complain to your local data protection authority (for example, in the EEA or the UK Information Commissioner's Office).
Because the Game has no accounts and keeps your progress on your device, we usually hold very little information that we can link to you. To help us find what we do hold, you may include your device's advertising ID or a purchase transaction ID in your request. We will respond within the time the law requires (for example, one month under the GDPR and UK GDPR) and may need to verify your request first.
11. U.S. state privacy rights (including California)
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or its use for targeted advertising; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
In the last 12 months, the categories of personal information collected through the Game have been limited to: identifiers (such as advertising IDs and IP address), internet or other electronic network activity (such as ad interactions and gameplay events), approximate geolocation derived from IP address, and commercial information (purchase records). We do not collect sensitive personal information.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, allowing ad partners to use advertising identifiers to show personalized ads may be considered "selling" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) and similar laws. To opt out, turn off personalized ads using the Privacy Choices option in the Game's Settings, limit tracking in your device settings (see Section 2), or email us with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share".
You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will respond within 45 days, or let you know if we need more time as permitted by law.
12. How to delete your data
- Data on your device: uninstall the Game, or clear its app data (Android). This permanently deletes your progress, settings and local purchase records. Purchases of permanent items (such as "No Ads") can be restored later with the same Apple or Google account.
- Advertising identifiers: reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off tracking permission, in your device settings.
- Data held by us or our partners: email [email protected] with the subject "Last Squad Data Deletion Request". We will delete what we hold (such as support emails) and, where we can, pass deletion requests on to our analytics and ad partners. Including your advertising ID helps us do this.
- Directly with partners: ad networks and app stores also let you exercise your rights with them directly. Their privacy policies are on their websites, for example Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy and Google's page on how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
13. Children
The Game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher minimum age that applies in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
14. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, and we choose partners that do the same. Data saved by the Game is kept within the app's storage on your device, protected by your device's operating system. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Game or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will also let you know in the Game or the store listing where appropriate.
